Vipers Sports Club were crowned champions of 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup after thrashing BUL Football Club 8-1 at FUFA Technical Center on Sunday evening.
Yunus Ssentamu bagged a magical haul as Ceasor Manzoki scored a brace while Livingston Mulondo and Milton Karisa were all on target for the Venoms who outsmarted the Eastern giants to be crowned Kings of the tournament for the second time in history.
Hamis Tibita scored a consolation goal for BUL FC in the 72 minutes as they lost 8-1 to Vipers in the finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The result also hands Roberto Oliviera and Marcelo Cardoso their first ever trophy since taking over as Vipers’ head coach and assistant coach respectively.
Milton Karisa could have broken the deadlock but his goal was disallowed for offside just 3 minutes from kickoff.
Moments later Mulondo opened the scoring through a powerful header off Bobosi Byaruhanga’s delivery.
Sentamu doubled the lead from Paul Willa’s cross for 2-0 lead in the 27 minutes.
10 minutes later Ceasor Manzoki added the third following a beautiful assist from Milton Karisa.
Two minutes later Manzoki added the fourth as he completed his own brace.
Viper headed into dressing rooms for half-time with their tails up as they were leading 4-0.
After the break Yunus Sentamu completed his second and the third in the 48 and 54 minutes respectively for a 6-0 lead.
Miton Karisa then added the seventh goal in the 65th minute before Sentamu scored his 4th goal for 8-0 lead in 69th minute.
Hamis Tabita then pulled one back as Vipers SC humiliated BUL FC 8-1 to be crowned champions of Stanbic Uganda Cup for the second time in history.
