Folowing the depature of Joseph Harold Mutiyaba from Onduparaka football club, Dribbler sport.com understands that the Caterpillars are into hunt for the possible replacement of the gaffer who left the club unceremoniously.
Onduparaka football club who confirmed the departure of Mutiyaba on Tuesday, 8th June 2021 have since started the process of finding a new coach ahead of the coming 2021/2022 Startimes Uganda Premier League season.
The Caterpillars are not hiding where they are. They have been in this place before, going through the motions of trying to find the right coach to lead a team of young stars seeking its way.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer Edison Shaban alias X-level has already tipped his hand on the kind of the coach he will be looking for.
“We want to start from the basics and the technical team comes first. We would like to hire the best coach who will work for the budge” ,said Shaban during an interview with Access 96.3 FM during a sport show hosted by Love Dee.
The club is working now through a short list of candidates but the process is likely to take longer according to a reliable source that preferred anonymity. Onduparaka is undertaking a due diligence on clutch of candidates and does expect to be in position to confirm the new coach until next month at the earliest.
Brian Sseyondo formerly of Mbarara City football Club, Peter Onen formerly of Bull FC, Ibrahim Kirya the current SC Villa assistant coach and whole host of other names continue to be linked to the vacant position at the Green Light with no stand out candidate emerging yet.
The new coach if appointed will take charge of the team from the interim coach Adiga Moris who took over the mantle at the club after the sacking of Mutiyaba.
