One of the most intently awaited fixtures in the Startimes Uganda Premier League will take place at St Mary’s stadium as Vipers Sports Club welcome Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club on Wednesday evening
The table leaders URA FC are just one point ahead of the second-placed Vipers who have 49 points, but either sides can take full control of the first place with Victory at St Mary’s stadium.
URA FC welcome back Abang Cromwell Rwothomio and Julius Mutyba. The duo have been sidelined for a couple of games due to injuries but are back and available for selection.
The trio of Goalkeeper Ajiab Alionzi, Michael Birungi and Jackson Nunda are ruled out due to respective injuries.
Commenting URA FC head Coach Sam Simbwa said: “This is the game I believe all fans have been waiting for. We are in good shape despite the fatigue, I can say that my team is ready for the challenge in reference to our previous league games.”
The Vomons on the other hand are without the injured duo of Dan Sserumkuma and Amayo Ahmad.
Muhammad Shaban and Bashir Asiku remain suspended by the club.
Vipers head into this clash on a back of a 2-1 victory over KCCA FC at MTN Omondi and have won three of their last 5 league games.(WDLWW)
Meanwhile URA FC head into this game on a back of a 3-1 win against Onduparaka FC over the weekend at Arena of Vision in Ndejje and have won three of their last 5 league encounters (WDDWW).
This will be the 32 meetings between the two sides since 2006 with Vipers winning 6, drawing 11 times and losing 14 times to the Tax Collectors.
