Eric Kambale bagged a hat-trick as Express Football club beat Kyetume FC 3-2 at Nakisunga Ssaza ground in the Startimes Uganda Premier League encounter played on Wednesday evening
Kaye Ezera Kizito and Bida Ezra scored the two goals for the Slaughters as Red Eagles outgunned the hosts in a five-goal thriller.
Express FC remain 3rd in the standings after 23 games but moved on to 49 points just two adrift log leaders URA FC and are back in action on Saturday May 15 when they host UPDF FC at Wankulukuku stadium.
Kyetume were left 14th in log on 20 points in 23 games and are back in action against KCCA FC at MTN Omondi the next day.
Vipers SC 1-1 URA FC ( St Mary’s stadium)
Elsewhere, Vipers Sports Club and Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club shared spoils a 1-1 stalemate at St Mary’s stadium on Wednesday evening.
A late goal from Yunus Ssentamu cancelled out Abang Cromwell Rwothomio’s first half opener to settle for a 1-1 draw.
The draw means URA FC remain at the top of the log with 52 points just one point ahead of Vipers SC who are second of the log with 50 points.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday 15-May-2021 when URA FC host Police FC at the Arena of Vision in Ndejje, While Vipers travel to Bombo to take on SC Villa at Bombo Military Ground.
Police FC 0-0 KCCA FC (MTN Omondi)
Uganda Police FC and Kampala City Council Authority Football Club played to a goalless draw in the Startimes Uganda Premier league encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The results means Police FC remain in the 5th place of the log with 38 points level to KCCA FC who are in the 4th place with 38 points in 23 games.
Police FC are back in action on Saturday 15-05-21 away to URA FC, Meanwhile KCCA FC will host Kyetume FC at MTN Omondi stadium the next day.
Kitara United 2-2 BUL FC (Masindi Municipal)
Lastly, Kitara United FC fought back to salvage a 2-2 draw against BUL Football Club in a clash that saw two penalties awarded at Masindi Municipal Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Joseph Semujju fired home the opener from the spot in the 35th minutes as Bul FC took a commanding lead at the interval.
Immediately after the break doubled their lead through Semujju who completed his own brace as BUL FC won 2-0 in the 46 minutes.
The Visitors let a two-goal slip away when Patrick Kusemererwa hit back in the 75th minute before Edison Agondeza leveled matters for the hosts from the spot with just three minutes to stoppage time.
The draw means BUL FC move back to 10th place with 27 points level to 9th and 11th placed Wakiso Giants and Onduparaka FC respectively, meanwhile Kitara FC are rooted to the bottom of the log with 10 points in 23 games.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday 15-05-2021 when Kitara United travel to Wakiso to face Wakiso Giants FC, while BUL will host Bright Stars FC at Kyabazinga stadium
