Uganda Cranes defender Shafik Batamuze has found himself a new home at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu stadium ahead of the 2021 season.
Zambian Outfit Kabwe Warriors Football Club have announced the signing of Uganda Cranes International Shafik Batamuze.
The defender has joined Tenant Chilumba’s side as a free agent having parted ways with Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia.
The Magnificent released the following statement on Wednesday evening as they bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
A club statement read: “Kabwe Warriors is pleased to announce the signing of Ugandan International left back Shafik Batambuze from Gor Mahia. Batambuze has signed a two year contract with the Magnificent People’s Team.“
Shafik joined Kabwe Warriors FC from Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia Football Club where he won himself the best left-back and the 2018/2019 Sportpesa Premier League
The left-back has previously featured for SC Villa, BUL FC, Singinda United, Tursker, Muhoroni, Simba, Western Stima and Sofapaka.
He won the Gotv sheild with Sofapaka Football Club in 2014 and later was named the Vodacom premier league team of the season in 2017.
