A possible deal to sign former Paidha Black Angels and Ediofe Hills defender Bernard Agele appears to be on the cards with the defender currently Undergoing trails with Tanzanian outfit Simba Sports Club.
The rock solid center half is part of the kings squad in the Mapinduzi Cup and has already partnered with Kenya’s Joash Onyangu in the defense as Simba beat Mtibwa Sugars 2-0 on Sunday.
Simba SC is in need of a mainstay center half and incase the deal materialises, he’s expected to join the likes of Joash Onyangu and Ivorian defender Pascal Wawa.
Bernard is currently a free agent after leaving Malaysian top flight outfit Universiti Tecknologi Mara ( UiTM) FC a club he joined from Paidha Black Angels Football Club in 2019.
He has previously played for Express FC, Sports Club Victoria University ( now defunt), The Saints ( now UPDF FC) and KCB FC (Kenya).
While at SC victoria University he won the Uganda Cup and the Nile Basin tournament.
Born and raised in Arua Uganda to a South Sundanese father Michael Popo and Ugandan mother Rita Drania, Benard chose to play for South Sudan than Uganda Cranes where he’s capped 15 times for the Bright Stars of South Sudan.
Agele was part of South Sudan team that lost 3-0 to Benin in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers that was played in Juba.
