Uganda Cranes head coach Jonathan Mckinstry has described Cranes performance in the Pre-CHAN Mini tournament in Yaounde Cameroon as “worthwhile.”
Uganda concluded their Pre-CHAN Mini compaign at the top of log with 7 points having won two games and one draw.
Vipers SC forward Milton Karisa scored a brace and Said Kyeyune of URA scored a goal as Uganda Cranes ended their Pre-CHAN Mini tournament with 3-0 win over Niger at the Annex 2 Omnisport Complex in Yaounde Cameroon on Thursday evening
The victory saw Uganda Cranes register 7 points in 3 games in the just concluded show-piece that saw their head coach Jonathan Mckinstry impressed with Cranes performance.
He took to his officail facebook page to comment on the Cranes performance, saying it was worthwhile.
“Uganda Cranea wrapped up Phase 2 of our CHAN2020 preps with a 3-0 victory over # Niger to finish the ‘Tournoi pre-CHAN’ with 7 PTS.” Mckinstry wrote on his officail facebook page.
“Our week in Yaoundé has been very worthwhile, & we now move to Douala to prepare for our opening game vs Rwanda.”
Uganda Cranes now turn their focus to the 2020 CHAN finals which is scheduled between January 16 and February 7 2021 in Cameroon.
Mckinstry’s charges who have traveled to Douala for more preparations ahead of the CHAN Finals are piped in group C alongside defending Champions Morocco Togo and neighbors Rwanda.
