Kampala City Council Authority Football Club head coach Mike Mutebi is set to return to the dougout on Wednesday evening following his recovery from Coronavirus.
Mutebi together with 12 KCCA players returned positive results on December 19 2020 and were in quarantine for almost two weeks.
He rejoined the team at the training on Sunday and has since vowed to run his squads lame as he looks to overcome AS Kigali’s 2-0 deficit.
In an interview with Daily Monitor, Mike Mutebi said: “It is mission possible. I’m fully recovered from Covid-19 and I can’t tell you the joy I have working with my team again. We believe we can make it.”
His assistant manager Morley Byekwaso was the one who took charge of KCCA games and even traveled with the team to Rwanda where they didn’t play as CAF granted AS Kigali a 2-0 win.
The Kasasiros are currently camped at the Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi as they prepare to lock horns with Rwandan outfit Association Sportive De Kigali in the second leg of the CAF Confederation cup tie.
Mike Mutebi’s charges will need to score 3 or more goals if they are to qualify to next rounds of the 2021 CAF Confederation cup tournament.
The game will be played on Wednesday 06 December 2020 at 4pm in St Mary’s stadium kitende.
