Substitute Paul Mucureezi scored a brace as Vipers beat Busoga United 5-3 in a stunning Uganda Premier League encounter at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru on Sunday evening.
Fred Kajoba’s side opened the scoring through a Godfrey Wasswa free kick before George Kansoko levelled matters for the hosts.
Milton Karisa restored the visitors side just before the break to make it 2-1 to Vipers Sports Club at first half.
The Venoms came out strong in second half as Karim Watambala added the third at the bottom corner with a brilliant strong effort for a 3-1.
Ismail Mugulsi pulled one back for Busoga United in the 56th minute for 3-2 but substitute Paul Mucureezi who replaced David Bagoole extended the lead for the visitors from a free kick after Bobosi Byaruhanga was fouled in the 70th minute for a 4-2.
Mucureezi then completed his own brace in the 84th minute for a 5-2 before the host pulled one back courtesy of a goal from Paul Ssekulima for a 5-3 as Vipers hold out for a victory.
The defeat saw Vipers move to 8 place of the log with 7 points and 2 games at hand ( Vs MYDA, Express) while Busoga United remain second from the bottom with 1 point in 5 games.
