StarTimes UPL RESULTS: Friday December 11 2020.

KCCA FC 2-0 Mbarara City
MYDA FC 2-3 Onduparaka
Busoga United 1-1 Kyetume FC

Onduparaka Football Club registered their first win of the season after goals from Kabon, Matata and Amis saw the caterpillars beat UPL rookies Malaba Youth Development Association 3-2 in matchday three at King George IV Memorial stadium on Friday evening.

Vialli Bianomugisha’s charges were coming off from a frustrating 8-0 defeat to KCCA FC in the second match of the season but looks like they found their groove against MYDA FC.

Forward Nsimbe Ibrahim capitalized from a poor communication from John Rogers to put MYDA FC ahead just four minutes from the Kickoff.

Before Caterpillars’ talisman Kabon Living “Messi” levelling matters for the visitors following a calculated chip for a 1-1 in the 16th minute.

Onduparaka then suffered an injury blow when defender David Ochen had to be lifted out following a knock with MYDA player. But that didn’t stop the caterpillars as new signing Matata Gabriel opened his account to double the leads for a 2-1 in the first stanza.

Amis added the third just 3 minutes from the start of the second half with a fine shot off Living’s cross to hand Vialli Bianomugisha his first win of the season.

Nsimbe Ibrahim completed his own brace this time through a penalty in the 68th minute but that wasn’t enough for the host who suffered their second defeat in two games.

MYDA FC could have made it 3-3 but Onduparaka’s new custodian Michael Kagiri stood tall between the sticks to deny Rashid Mpeta’s penalty just few minutes to the stoppage time as the West Nile based outfit had to settle for 3-2 win to MYDA FC.

The result saw the caterpillars move to 6th place of the log with 4 points in 3 games and will host Wakiso Giants FC in their next game at Greenlight stadium, while MYDA FC sit at bottom of the log and wil face Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Tuesday December 15 2020.
