The creative midfielder was unveiled by FUFA Big League outfit Arua Hill Sports Club on Tuesday afternoon to the rage of UPL rookies Uganda People’s Defense Force Football Club who maintained that Gaddafi Gadinho “Cypher ” is still contracted to them.
Gadafi featured for Mbarara City Football Club last season but has since joined Arua Hill Sports Club something that has ignited a war of words between the two clubs.
According to Kawowo Sports, UPDF’s CEO Ashraf Miiro is obdurate that Gadafi still remains under contract with them, while an insider at Leopards confirms that they have fully paid UPDF for the signature of the creative midfielder.
” Gadafi Gadihno has a running contract with UPDF Football Club. We cannot let him go for free.” Miiro told Kawowo Sports.
The 26-year old midfielder signed a two-year employment contract with Arua Hill Sports Club and has already started training with the club that is located in Arua City.
” We have fully paid UPDF for the signature of Gadafi Gadinho who is our player and will play for us for two seasons.” A close source told Dribbler Sports.
The Army side Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) won direct promotions to the 2020/21 UPL season after FUFA decided to abruptly halt the League due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile Arua Hill Sports Club rebranded from Doves Allstars FC after businessman, Eng Joel Aita bought the 100 percent shares from the latter.
