Midgo Calvary secured promotion to the FUFA big league thanks to the expertise of the tactician Ahmed Olima Borine. Borine took charge of the side in 2017 after he had crossed over from Koboko Rising stars a regional league side.
Calvary came close in 2019 when they were ejected by saviours FC a lira based side and for yet another time they hard to get back to the drawing board in order to secure qualification to the second tire of Ugandan football.
Speaking to the press after the game, Borine attributed this success to team work and cooperation from the administration of the club and went further to thank the fans and everybody who supported the team.
Ahmed Borine has good reputation in the promotional play offs with previous successes at doves all stars of Arua now rebranded Arua Hills Sc.
In an interview with Dribbler sports, Coach Borine confessed that his 2 years contract with Calvary football club elapsed at the end of 2019/2020 season.
‘’I only had a two years contract with Calvary fc and it elapsed at the end of last season, but since then i am uncertain about my future at the club but very many offers keep coming to me every day and now .”
The CAF C coaching license holder has reportedly pulled the attention of Big-League clubs Paidha Black Angels and Luwero United who have contacted him over taking over the coaching role at either clubs. Calvary FC hierarchy is still in a search for more signings after acquiring Andama Sabir and in search for a home ground ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
