Newly promoted FUFA Big League outfit Calvary Football Club have unveiled Andama Sabir “Nelu” as their first signing ahead of the coming 2020/21 FBL season.
After earning promotions to second-tier league, under the stewardship of head coach Olima Ahmed “Borini”, the Yumbe based outfit has shown no signs of slowing down in the primary transfer window with the Horizon Stars confirming the arrival midfielder Andama Sabir.
The 19-year old joins the Horizon Stars from Doves Allstars on a three-year employment contract. Sabir had joined the Jaguars from Onduparaka FC this year in August before the club being rebranded to Arua Hill Sports Club.
Despite not establishing himself well with the Caterpillars last season, the 19-year old youngster has picked up valuable experience in the second-tier with Doves Allstars FC ( now Arua Hill Sports Club FC) and UPL with Onduparaka FC which clearly caught the eyes of the newly promoted entity.
Andama becomes the first signing of Calvary Midigo FC who are bolstering their squad ahead of their maiden FUFA Big League compaign.
The Club is reportedly set to sign roving left-back Maxwell Badda from West Nile regional league outfit Odramachaku Football Club.
Calvary Football Club is located in Yumbe district in West Nile region. Calvary edged Northern Gateway 2-0 in their promotion playoff final at the FUFA technical Center, Njeru in October to make the Regional League grade.
They train at Midigo Primary school play ground and will host their games at Kasiano Wadri stadium that is currently undergoing an upgrade and regreening process.
