Michael Azira: Uganda Cranes International Midfielder Bids Chicago Fire’s Farewell.

Uganda Cranes international and former Chicago Fire midfielder Michael Azira has penned an emotional open letter to the Club and their supporters following his departure.

Azira left the Club after the expiration of his employment contract at the Major League Soccer side.

The 31-year old midfielder who joined Chicago Fire from Montreal Impact last year took to his official Instagram account to bid the club and their supporters farewell.

He previously played for Seattle Sounders FC (2014/15), Colorado Rapids (2016/18), Montreal Impact (2018/19) and Chicago Fire Organization (2020).

Azira was part of Uganda Cranes squad at the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals played in Gabon and Egypt respectively.
