Jacob Kiplimo: Ugandan Athlete Wins Gold At World Half Marathon In Gdynia.

Ugandan Athlete Jacob Kiplimo has won gold at the 2020 World Athletics Half Marathon Championships in Gydnia, Poland.

The 19-year old clocked 58:49 to break the championship record, with pre-race favourite and 10,000m world record winner Joshua Cheptegei finishing fourth after posting 59:21.

Meanwhile Kenya’s Kibiwott Kandie finished 2nd and won silver after clocking 58:54 with Amedework Walelign winning a bronze for Ethiopia after clocking 59:08.

This is Kiplimo’s second major championship medal after taking the 2017 World junior Cross Country title on home soil in Kampala.
