Upon the official unveiling of the new head coach Hussein Mbalango at the Arua based big league side Arua Hills SC, questions have been raised about the future of Haruna Mawa who was verbally sucked by the club CEO Afeti Tony.
Speaking at the clubs presser today 28th September 2020 held at Heritage Courts Arua, the clubs PRO Lematia Adam alias Otelul confirmed that Haruna Mawa and Arua hills SC have parted ways.

“Haruna Mawa was a coach with Doves All stars and this is a new Arua hills sports club, he may have been contracted by Arua Hills SC but he has gotten engagements with parliament of Uganda and the club decided to pick a new coach because we need someone who will be with us throughout”. Arua Hills PRO responding to a question about the future of Haruna Mawa.
Dribbler sports has reliably been informed that, Parliament plays football yearly from June to July and the said coach Haruna Mawa is not under any running contract with the parliament of Uganda.
“I signed a one year contract with Arua Hills SC early September and it’s a one year contract worth one million, five hundred thousand shillings in the presence of the club Chairman and we trusted the club CEO with the copies and he claimed they were to be taken to FUFA for signing but since then I have not yet received my copy of the technical contracts”. Said Haruna Mawa.
The gaffer told this website that he has been demanding for his termination letter to be handed over to him but the club’s chief executive officer Afeti Tony and Technical Director Dudu Bosco have referred him to the chairman Aita Joel who is said to be out of Arua.
Dribbler sports unearthed the bitter split in an earlier story that was ignited by money worth, two hundred thousand shillings, the coach signed for facilitation in the absence of the club CEO that was issued by the office secretary of which the head coach had stated that, if it causes conflicts, let a deduction be made from his salary.
As anticipated, the CEO Afeti Tony upon his return was bitter about the money and this has since then given birth to the current impasse. Efforts by dribbler sports to get clarification from the club CEO have constantly been unsuccessful.
Haruna Mawa played in various clubs in Uganda such as KCC FC, Express FC, SC Villa, Ediofe Hills FC and the Rwandese side Rayon Sports and attained CAF C, B, A licenses but also trained in emergency response to injury (I C C), Morden Strength training from Germany as well as Morden Endurance training, nutrition and player development in Italy, FIFA comprehensive instructor course among the over twenty qualifications he has.
He has coached the KCCA youth team, Proline FC, Victoria University SC, Ediofe Hills, Paliament of Uganda football team, Arua Central FC, B52 in Congo, Rayon Sports Rwanda and the Somalia national team
