Following the bitter split between club CEO Afeti Tony and head coach Haruna Mawa that ended up in a verbal termination of the latter’s contract and his entire technical team, the club has now been linked to former Uganda cranes forward Hussein Mbalangu.
Reliable sources have it that, Hussein is on his way to west Nile with completion of paper work top of the Agenda and a deal could be completed within two weeks.
Hussein was appointed head coach of Kyaggwe Ssaza prior to the Masaza 2020 tournament but his last major assignment was at Mogadishu City FC a roll he resigned to in 2019. The CAF A licensed coach will work closely with joseph kiwanuka who will serve in the capacity of Assistant coach at the Arua based big league side.
If this comes to pass, a new look technical bench will take over at Arua Hills SC from Haruna Mawa and his assistant Richard Amatre. Though the club is still far from stability, the changes have time on their side given the fact that the FUFA big league has been pushed far back and will not kick start before November.
Formerly Doves All stars, the newly rebranded side finished 6th in last season’s FUFA big league and they are hopeful of making it to the Uganda premier league.
