Yakin Rashid: Last season’s best defender ends speculation with a contract extension at Arua Hills FC

Yakin Rashid has agreed to a two-year contract extension which will keep him at Arua Hill Sports Club until the summer of 2022.

The 21 year-old had been tentatively linked with  Uganda Premier League sides, Onduparaka FC and Express FC this summer but has committed his future to the club he joined last season .

According to a reliable source, the club and the player have agreed on the renewal of the contract which will keep him at the club untill September 2022. Dribbler sports has reliably learnt that all players signed will be unveiled any time next week.

Since making his debut in 2019 at the age of 20, Yakini played 10 games in the league last season, scoring one goal and 4 assists for the rebranded Doves All stars now Arua hill Sports club.

He is expected to reunite with Sunday Bernard ‘’Zola’’ who extended his contract on three year deal four days ago though other former Players like Midfielder Andama Sabir who signed for the club under management of Aziz Damani Doves Allstars, Goal keeper Ajiga Baiga who had a few days left on his contract to expire at the club, Oringa Francis the new goalkeeper who was acquired in the second round of last season from Lira united after Ajiga Baiga’s injury , Versatile defender Sabir Rajab, holding midfielder Abdul Salam Karim who joined the club last season from Arua Soccer Academy , Emmanuel Mutebi who re-joined the club in the second leg of the season from Wakiso Giants . Meanwhile players Ismail Bate, Farouk Malfer and Adriko Fred are uncertain about their future at the club while Aniku Martin and Kawawa Rashid ‘’Olu’’ are Rumoured to have signed for Proline football club waiting for official unveiling .
