Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club have announced the appointment of Henry Mayeku as the Club’s Chief Executive Officer on a year-long tenure.
The club’s former general secretary Mayeku replaces Bridget Nakayenga who was the Acting CEO since January 2020.
Nakayenga had come on board to replace Ivan Kakembo whose contract was not renewed after expiring on November 30 last year.
Speaking to the Club’s website Mayeku said: ” URA FC is a Club everyone would dream to work with. I am so happy to come back and associate with a place a call home. I promise to bring Professionalism, Experience and Interpersonal skills which I believe will take back URA FC to the top where it’s supposed to be.”
Mayeku comes with vast experience having served the club in 2016 as a General Secretary before joining World Vision Uganda from August 2018.
His appointment comes just a few weeks after another UPL club Vipers SC confirmed Peter Njuba who replaces Peter Lwanga.
Recently Busoga United also named their new CEO Andrew Ndyabahika who replaced Hassan Takoowa, including Police FC ( Fahad Lumu ) and Express FC ( Isaac Mwesigwe ).
In the transfer market, URA have already confirmed the arrival of midfielder Jackson Nunda from KCCA FC on a three-year employment contract.
