Uganda Cranes and Pyramids Fc star Abdu Lumala has confirmed he underwent another operation on Tuesday and will be out for about six months.
Lumala has endured a torrid time since aggravating a knee problem during AFCON tournament in Egypt.
He underwent surgery in December after the injury refused to subside and he’s now revealed that he was then forced to have a second surgery on Tuesday in Belgium after the knee injury refused to heal properly.
“ Thank you Pyramids F.C my manager Joe the club President and Dr.G.Declercq thank you will be out for sometime am coming back stronger than before the operation was successful.” Reads Lumala’s statement.
Lumala, who joined Pyramids FC last year, has made five appearances for the Egyptian side.
The winger was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that reached the knockout stages of the 2019 AFCON knockout in Egypt.
Let’s hope the 22-year old winger is able to make a full recovery and get himself fully fit ahead of next season as he’s still a top class player.
