Wasswa Bbossa is on the brink of being appointed as Red Eagle’s new manager on a two-year deal.
Express will be hoping to wrap up talks with Bbossa as they seek to appiont him as their new head coach.
Negotiations remain ongoing between the two parties, with a deal soon to be announced by Express Fc.
The CAF “B” licensed coach has previously managed at Express, SC Villa before he joined Tooro United formerly known as Soana FC at the start of the 2018/19
Bbosa has overseen a dramatic transformation in Express FC’s fortunes since taking temporary charge, following George Ssimwogerere’s sacking in February.
The tactician also restored confidence and feel good factor at the club as well as helping players who were stagnating under Ssimwogerere in a short space of time he has been in charge.
His hard work over the past three and half months as an interim coach has earned him an offer by handing him a permanent job as the head coach of Express Fc
James Odoch, Bbosa’s assistant and goalkeeping coach Sam Kawalya are also expected to stay.
He won three games, lost one and drew once in the five league matches he was temporarily in charge. His side was also eliminated by Maroons FC 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 stalemate in the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
He guided the Wankulukuku outfit from the jaws of relegation as the finished ninth with 31 points when FUFA decided to end the league after 25 games due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
